Logging sheets and Diary

Wednesday 27th October
Today we filmed our voxpops. We filmed several voxpops in warrington town center and decided that these will be included in the opening of the documentary.

Thursday 28th October
We captured the Vox pops. We also filmed again. We decided also to film relevant cutaways to what the answers were to the question 'what are you scared of?'. We filmed spiders, snakes, clowns, a tall building and so on.

Friday 29th October
All the cutaways were filmed and captured. Now we had arranged an interview with a person who suffered from heights and horseflies. The interview was relaxed and informal and took place in the home of the sufferer. The background was plain. To fit in with the codes and conventions, he was sat on one third of the screen and his eye was 3/4 of the screen up.

Saturday 30th October
We spent most of our time trying to get in touch with professionals as we wanted to interview people who could give the audience a deeper understanding and a more indepth knowledge of the subject. Unfortunately this was time wasted because most of them felt uncomfortable being filmed. We then also decided on what else to include instead.

Monday 1st Novemeber
We filmed the college counciller, as after every other person declining, this was the only professional interview we could get. The mise en scene in the interview was very good as it was in her practice room and it portrayed the stereo-typical view of a pschologist - white room, doctor's bed etc.

Tuesday 2nd Novemeber
By this point we had a lot of what we needed, including voxpops, interviews and cutaways. we decided to film more cutaways and arrange more interviews of sufferers. we then captured this.

Wednesday 3rd Novemeber
We got an interview with someone who suffers from having hands put in his mouth. We did not know where we could film this, as we didn't feel we had the resources to find somewhere that would fit the topic. We quickly resolved this by deciding to use the blue screen. This meant that when we come to edit, we can change the background and make it relevant to what his fear is.

Monday 8th Novemeber
Today, we went to Leeroys Lizard Lounge to film more cutaways as we had not yet got any of snakes or lizards. Before going today, we had previously rang up to make sure the owner would be okay with us filming in his store. He got out certain species and allowed us to get as close to them as desired. An image of the largest snake was used within our Print Advert on a later date.

Tuesday 9th Novemeber
We filmed three more interviews. One who was afraid of being stuck in a house fire, one with a fear of rollercoasters and a third sufferer who had a fear of milk due to an allergy when he was younger. He could not go near milk based products as he didn't want to feel the way he did when he had an allergic reaction.
